This restaurant is clean, the food was fresh, and the prices were very reasonable. If we lived in Indy we'd absolutely be back.

Yummy food and cheap prices! No margs which is sad, but excellent food. We were in and out

I'm not a big fan of Mexican food. my palate does not like bland food, and Mexican food always tasted bland to me. Nothing wrong about Mexican food but I like spices and aroma of herbs which I find, is generally lacking in this kind of food but I saw a review about this place and I decided to check the tacos. This is a good place to go. This has a very different ambience almost as if you are in Mexico based on my one time experience of going to a Mexican restaurant in Cancun. The service is good people speak very well and are able to explain the food. I was there for tacos, and I ordered three tacos. I ordered chicken taco a beef taco and a pork taco. I'm happy to say that my experience was almost equal to what I had experienced in Cancun and the food was good. Tacos were very soft, they were hot, chicken in the taco felt slightly cold but it was properly cooked and it was OK. The pork taco was very good. It had a tangy sauce in it, tasted like mango, and that was very fulfilling and the beef taco was again good, but bland, but I guess it is supposed to be like that. The quality of food is good. The tacos overall, tasted good. I think it is worth going to this place again and try the other offerings. Also, this place is very well frequented by native Mexican food loving population, as well as non-natives and it was crowded. It was lunch hour and people were coming in. I can't say the name of this place but it is worth visiting this place. It's part of a grocery store. Grocery store is OK. Nothing much to talk about maybe all Mexican food and canned food you may get a better selection at Saraga, but this was a good place for food.

A combination Mexican restaurant and grocery store. I've heard nothing but praise for the multitudes of coworkers that have gone here. You walk in to a really cool aesthetic with a large statue/fountain in the center. Prompt and solid service. Never was wanting for anything. I was pretty hungry at lunch so I ordered this insane Surf and Turf plate. 8 shrimp, fried tilapia filet, steak, chicken, and chorizo!!! Also came with salad, avocado, rice, beans, and tortillas. So much food. I almost ate it all!! Highly recommend. Will come back to this review after a few more visits...this may be 5 star worthy!!

I always enjoy coming to Guanajuato. Just visiting the grocery store is worthwhile. This time I went with a large group and our servers did a great job taking care of us. I really like their shrimp and octopus cocktail. It's huge and a meal in itself with chips. I like the guacamole here as well so definitely order it. I've had better margaritas but maybe it was what I ordered. The rest of the group had a variety of fajita's, tacos, etc. Someone got talked into trying the largest margarita I've ever seen. My picture doesn't do it justice but it took several of us to finish it. Make sure to get some goodies at the bakery before you leave!

This is the restaurant connected to the big Mexican grocery store. I used to come to this grocery store just to have the tacos from the little diner. Then the owners decided to expand their eat-in business by renovating the huge space next door and building out a full-service restaurant. I think. Ow the restaurant makes as much money for them as the grocery store ever did. The food here is so good (authentic) and cheap.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon with my family since we have been staying in Indianapolis and it was so good! Very authentic. Ordered fajitas and it comes with side of rice, beans, and salad like usual. What I did find very odd was the fact that we came here around 3:20pm and saw a sign they closed at 8pm so thought nothing of it and we have plenty of time to eat. Until whenever 4pm came they started cleaning and everyone left and no music was playing and well we thought it was weird. Comes to find out they close at 4pm and we felt so bad. We didn't finish our food and we packed to go even though they did say it was okay but it was 4:15. Just not sure why their sign said something else but that's some important information. Felt terrible for being those kind of people who stay after the closing time.

My first time here was for a Yelp event a few days ago and we had the opportunity to try the fish tacos. They were very good so we're back to try other items on the menu. The Market was known for their superb taqueria and busy location so they have added this full service restaurant. Street parking is available along the building and the restaurant is just a few blocks from I-70 on the corner of Oliver Avenue and Division. The upscale restaurant is lovely with murals on the walls, tile floors, a faux balcony, a very impressive, large water fountain in the center of the dining room with lots of warm colors throughout. We were immediately greeted by the gentleman at the carryout counter then taken directly to a table by the hostess. All of the seating is 4-6 top tables with generous spacing between tables. A green and red salsa was delivered with chips in just a few minutes. I enjoyed the salsa but my husband found it just okay. It wasn't as spicy as the first time I had it and I hope it was just a fluke. The extensive menu can be a touch confusing when you first start browsing with both Spanish and English descriptions. The categories are well marked and each item has a brief description and many of the meat items are prepared several different ways. You'll find the standard menu items plus more. Tacos, Fajitas, Tortas, Quesadillas, Nachos, Burritos, Eggs (available before Noon), and Enchiladas are all available. The entrees include half or a whole Chicken, Grilled or Breaded Chicken Breast, T-bones, Steaks prepared with different sauces, Enchiladas, Pork dishes and many Fish and Shrimp dishes. I love all the seafood options with different Seafood Cocktails, Seafood Soups, Surf and Turf, whole fish to tilapia filets and Shrimp with various sauces. They offer for groups of 6 two table options, Seafood Table ($69.99) or Meat Table ($44.99) for six. The seafood table is served with Paella, Shrimp, Baby Lobster, Oysters, Tilapia, Fried Tilapia, Marinated Shrimp and Raw Fish, plus Crab Legs. The Meat table can be ordered for 4 or 6 persons. It's served with Steak, Grilled Chicken, Mexican Sausage, Fried Pork, Cactus, Grilled Onions and Jalapenos. An extensive menu that has something for most. They are prepared to serve 1 to large groups. My husband ordered the Fajitas Cameron (Shrimp) served with rice, beans, a salad, grilled green peppers, onions and tomatoes and tortillas. First, what a generous portion (see the pictures) and these were nice size shrimp. Flavorful, delicious but just a tad overcooked, but not enough to destroy the texture or flavor. He was thoroughly pleased with his dinner and found it to be a great value compared to many other restaurants. I ordered the Filetes de Pescado/Tilapia Filet grilled on a flat iron. When my dinner arrived it was 3 full filets with beautiful grill marks. The large plate was almost overflowing with a small salad, a tasty red rice and thick, almost charro, beans. All for $10.99? What a value for the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed. The Market is open and an entrance is open from the restaurant. We didn't have the chance to explore but I'll be back search for fresh veggies and fruits and dine here again.

Carniceria Guanajuato is an incredible Mexican grocery that used to have an INCREDIBLY popular taco stand within it. Because it was so popular, they took the leap and created an entire restaurant that is now attached to the grocery store. And let me tell you, it's BEAUTIFUL. The walls have beautiful 3D murals on them that make you feel as if you are in Mexico. Everything is clean, friendly, vibrant and delicious. We came with a group of 24 people and they were incredibly accommodating. The servers had waters waiting at the table as well as fresh chips and salsa. They also brought out big plates of limes and cucumbers before they brought out the tons of tacos. We got fish, beef, vegetarian, and chicken tacos. They were SO GOOD. Everyone at our table loved them and commented that they wanted to come back soon. I had the beef tacos and absolutely loved them. I'd definitely order them again. They even have specialty tacos like lingua (tongue) on the weekends. I can't reiterate how kind, helpful and sweet the staff were. The server even told us about the restaurant and how she went from working in the grocery to running this restaurant (and she deserves it). Highly recommend you check out this new space! It's comfortable, affordable, and delicious.
